Description The Ecological Baseline and Monitoring (ECOBAM) Study began in 1972 in response to a request by Governor Evans to examine relationships between reductions in pulp mill waste discharges and biological changes in Port Gardner. The objective of the study is to develop baseline descriptions and to monitor expected changes in the saltwater environment and possible changes in populations of marine plants and animals.
