Description Midway Sewer District's Des Moines Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) was operating at a high efficiency and being well maintained at the time of a Class II Inspection conducted October 21-23, 1991. The facility was nitrifying and denitrifying wastewater prior to discharge. All permit effluent limitations were being met. Records showed the plant is approaching design limits for several criteria; planning should begin for continuing to maintain adequate treatment capacity in the future.
