| Description | This implementation memorandum provides guidance to Washington State Department of Ecology staff for determining the applicability of WAC 173-340-706 of the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) Regulations when cleaning up industrial sites. It addresses questions such as, “How and when does language in WAC 173-340-706(1)(d) apply to setting cleanup levels for an industrial site for media other than soil?” “Does such a site need to meet at least one criterion other than 706(1)(d) for the application of Method C to media other than soil?” REVISION NOTE: This memo became effective in August 1993. In September 2018, we formatted the document, added Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and disclaimer language, and cataloged it in Ecology’s publications database. With the exception of the ADA and disclaimer language, the content of this memo did not change. |
