Description | Endothall concentrations were monitored in the water column of two Western Washington lakes following typical summer treatment to control aquatic macrophytes. Concentrations measured immediately after treatment (Day 1) were near the target application levels of 1-4 ppm (1,000-4,000 mg/L), but decreased to less than 50 mg/L after 24-to-48 hours. Trace concentrations of endothall were detected in untreated areas of the lakes 2-to-8 days following application. By Day 16, concentrations at all sampling sites were near or below detection limits (10-20 mg/L). No substantial changes in water clarity, dissolved oxygen, or other water quality parameters were observed during the course of the study. | ||||
