Description | This paper presents a review of potential designs for a sediment trap designed to collect suspended particulate matter from stormwater for contaminant analyses. Design criteria for a stormwater sediment trap include: inexpensive to build and operate; ability to trap a representative amount of particles 63 mm or less; ability to collect 50-100 grams of material in a reasonable period of time (1-3 months); and constructed of a material which is non-contaminating and durable. | ||||
