Description | Available data for dissolved oxygen in Basin I of Lake Whatcom was reviewed. The rate of depletion of dissolved oxygen in the hypolimnion was examined for 1983-1997. The hypolimnetic oxygen depletion rates were calculated for the June through mid-August periods of stratification for each year using volume-weighted average concentrations of dissolved oxygen. | ||||
