Description This report is a result of Washington State Executive Request 1998 legislation (SSB 6474), The Fertilizer Regulation Act, mandating a study of dioxins in fertilizers, soil amendments, and soils. With support from a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant, the Washington State Department of Ecology also studied metals in fertilizers, soil amendments, and soils. The results from these studies are included in this report.
