Description The purpose of this briefing paper is to provide additional information on Environmental Assessment Program studies related to toxic chemical contamination conducted since the June 1995 Needs Assessment for the Okanogan Watershed was prepared. Studies were conducted or are underway in three subject areas: 1) pesticides in Osoyoos Lake and the Okanogan River; 2) metals and other contaminants in the Similkameen River; and 3) metals impacts in mining districts.
