Description The Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) is establishing a TMDL submittal for Inner Bellingham Bay to address impairments due to potential toxic effects from contaminated sediments in Bellingham Bay based on the 1998 Section 303(d) list of impaired waterbodies. The list contains 31 separate parameters at several locations in Inner Bellingham Bay. The contaminated areas addressed in this TMDL are those areas identified in the state’s 1998 303(d) list and other areas that would have been included in the list if evaluated using current data.
