Description This policy clarifies the relationship and coordination between the State Environmental Policy Act (Chapter 197-11 WAC) and the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) regulation (Chapter 173-340 WAC). Includes an attachment titled “Typical Integrated SEPA.MTCA Review Process.” The MTCA regulation is also known as the MTCA Rule or Cleanup Rule.

REVISION NOTE: This policy became effective December 22, 1998, and was revised July 28, 2004. In September 2018, we formatted the document, added Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) language, and cataloged it in Ecology’s publications database. With the exception of ADA language, content of this policy did not change since it was revised July 28, 2004.
