Description | Nearly 261 tons of contaminated soil were removed from the Pantorium Cleaners site and taken to the Finley Buttes landfill. Soil became contaminated as a result of leaks from underground storage tanks used for storing petroleum and solvents on-site. As a result of the cleanup, the Washington State Department of Ecology proposed to remove the site from the Hazardous Sites List. The public comment period is November 29 through December 29, 2006.
