Description | We identified 16 areas across the state as overburdened and highly impacted by air pollution as of March 1, 2023. These places are a mix of numerous communities, neighborhoods, and towns, representing more than 1.2 million people or about 15.5% of Washington’s population. This report is on the first review of levels of criteria air pollutants, related health impacts, and greenhouse gas emissions in these communities, as required by the Climate Commitment Act. | ||||
