Description |
In 2019, the Washington State Legislature directed Washington Department of Ecology, in consultation with Washington Department of Health, to implement a regulatory program to reduce toxic chemicals in consumer products (Chapter 70A.350 RCW9F). The program, called Safer Products for Washington, is implemented through a four-phase cycle that repeats every five years. This legislative report identifies priority chemicals and chemical classes for the first phase of the second cycle of Safer Products for Washington implementation. A separate report provides technical documentation to support this legislative report. |
