| Description | The Department of Ecology prepared a Second Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement to analyze greenhouse gas emissions from the Kalama methanol production facility proposed by Northwest Innovation Works. Specifically, Ecology’s analysis looked at the potential for this project to displace other sources of methanol, look at whether GHG emissions would be reduced, and provides full accounting of emissions associated with the project. The analysis looks at how the methanol produced would affect other potentially competing sources of methanol production. This SSEIS also considers measures to mitigate the significant impacts of in-state GHG emissions from the proposed project. | ||||
