| Description | During the mid 1960s – 1970s Liberty Lake showed signs of eutrophication. Due to the numerous sources as contributors of nutrients, the lake sediments were rich in nutrients. A restoration plan was enacted in 1981. In 2008, an Ecology study of the available data, while inconclusive, suggested that the lake is currently meeting water quality standards for phosphorus. | ||||
