Filtering by Site Name

Filtering for site or facility name can be tricky. You may not get the desired results if the name you entered does not exactly match the actual site name stored in the database. It is usually better to enter only a small fragment of the name rather than try to guess exactly how the full name has been entered. For example: filter by ‘Boeing’ or ‘boeing’ instead of ‘Boeing Plant 2’.

Why do I see site names that do not match what I entered in the Site Name filter?
For many sites, we have multiple site names on record. Often, this is because properties change ownership over time. The Site Name filter will look through all site names in our records for each site.

Filtering by Address

Filtering for a street address can be tricky. You may not get the desired results if the address you entered does not exactly match the actual address stored in the database. It is usually better to type in only a small fragment of the address rather than the entire address. For example: Search for ‘Marine’ or ‘Marine View’ instead of ‘Marine View Drive’ or ‘Marine View Dr’.

Combining Search Options

When you select multiple filter options, be careful not to choose criteria that are mutually exclusive – if you do, you may not get any results at all. For example: If you select ‘Central’ under ‘Region’ and also select a CSID (Cleanup Site ID) that does not fall into that region, you will not get any results.

Didn’t find what you were looking for?

Maybe your filter was too specific. For example, if you were looking for a site in a particular city, try typing in the zip code instead.

There are also times when it is better to narrow down your filters. For example, if you are getting an overwhelming number of results, narrowing your filters can give you a more manageable set of data.

Finding Site Documents

You can view and download documents associated with a site from the site results list:

  1. Click the arrow icon to open the site details pane.
  2. Click the ‘ Documents’ header to open the Documents section.
  3. Click on a document name to download it.

Documents are also available on the cleanup site page. Scroll to the bottom or click the View documents link on the left.

There may be documents that are not available electronically. To obtain documents not listed in the Documents section you will need to make a public records request.
