Station 18C150 Description

The Elwha-Morse Management Team (EMMT) suggested this station based upon Morse Creek’s importance to salmon recovery efforts in Clallam County. Although a gauge is also located near the mouth of Morse Creek, EMMT was interested in understanding the flow regime in the “bypass” reach between the City of Port Angeles’ diversion dam and hydroelectric facility. This section of the river has been identified as important salmon and steelhead spawning habitat.
