Station 45K090 Description
The White River drainage encompasses 99,956 acres, much of which is public land in the Wenatchee National Forest. Originating in alpine glaciers and perennial snow fields within the Glacier Peak Wilderness, the White River is one of two primary tributaries to Lake Wenatchee and a source of the Wenatchee River. The White and Little Wenatchee rivers are the two primary tributaries to Lake Wenatchee and are the source of the Wenatchee River. Collectively, they have among the best aquatic habitat anywhere in the Columbia basin with well functioning floodplains and riparian habitat being especially important.
