Study Name | Washington State Toxics Monitoring Program (WSTMP), Semipermeable Membrane Devices (SPMDs) Trends Monitoring 2007. |
EIM Data Entry Review Status | Reviewed |
Study Type | General environmental study |
Study Purpose | A trend monitoring design is proposed for chlorinated pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in nine major Washington rivers and lakes. The monitoring will be done with a passive sampling technique that employs a standardized Semipermeable Membrane Device (SPMD). SPMDs will be deployed twice a year for approximately one month in the spring and one month in late summer, starting in 2007 and annually thereafter. |
