Study IDDDUG0002
Study NameMid-Yakima River Tributaries Temperature Study (former study name Yakima Area Creeks Temperature Assessment)
EIM Data Entry Review StatusReviewed
Study TypeGeneral environmental study
Study PurposeEcology will conduct an assessment of temperature in three middle tributaries of the Yakima River: Moxee Drain, North Fork Cowiche Creek and Wide Hollow Creek. Temperature for these streams is considered to be impacted by agricultural and urban development. All three of them are located in heavily irrigated watersheds. Temperature data loggers will be used to continuously monitor the temperature of the streams above and below key water inflows. The study results will be used to help us better understand the seasonal and annual temperature changes and to also recognize any significant temperature events and sources
