| Study Comment | The master sample provides coordinates for sampling locations that describe specific parts of Washington's hydrologic network. These sites are randomly selected using a Generalized Random Tessellation Stratified (GRTS) design. Occasionally a site that is targeted for sampling is not sampled correctly. A sample may not properly include the stream location identified by the Master Sample or a location error may lead to sampling a different stream entirely. Different studies have different criteria that describe when a master sample site is missampled. |
