| Study Purpose | The purpose of the study is to characterize the groundwater nitrate concentrations in the Sumas-Blaine aquifer by sampling 200 wells across the aquifer. The goal is to sample as many of the 248 wells sampled in a similar study in 1997. Wells that cannot be re-sampled will be replaced with wells in similar locations. The results will be useful for designing a purpose-built groundwater monitoring network for the aquifer. |
