Circle K 05535 BP
This Site received a No Further Action Letter on October 19, 2010.
Site Background
The property located at 22625 Highway 99 in Edmonds, Washington is an active convenience store with gasoline dispensing facilities. In 1989 and 1990, a reported subsurface investigation was performed to confirm the presence or absence of petroleum hydrocarbons at the property.
Soil and groundwater analytical results determined that petroleum hydrocarbons were present at concentrations exceeding the Washington State Department of Ecology’s (Ecology) Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) Method A cleanup levels. Based on the location of the soil and groundwater impacts, the likely sources were former underground storage tanks (removed in 1989) and associated piping and dispenser islands.
Contaminants Of Concern
Total petroleum hydrocarbon as diesel, ethylbenzene, xylenes, and lead into the groundwater.
