| Description | Ecology is proposing to identify priority PBTs in Washington State. Ecology proposes to use part of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Waste Minimization Prioritization Tool (WMPT) to reflect Washington-specific conditions. This approach will be consistent with EPA but will use information that is relevant to our state. Ecology will use the chemical scoring system from the PBT portion of the WMPT. NOTE: The word "Toxins" was changed to "Toxics" or "toxic substances" throughout this report, including in the title, on August 5, 2010. |
