Description Staff at the Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology) worked together to respond to the recent public comments on the WCI received from Washington stakeholders. To keep this response to comments to a reasonable size, comments were paraphrased as "perspectives" or "themes." The public comment letters can be viewed in their entirety on the WCI website at www.westernclimateinitiative.org.

The purpose of this document is to:

*Summarize key perspectives and themes from the public comments on the WCI received from Washington stakeholders.
*Provide concise and high level responses when supplemental information is available (in addition to what the WCI jurisdictions have already provided to the public). The responses serve to further clarify Ecology’s approach to climate change policy and to the WCI.
