Description River Recreation and Access Area Closed During Cleanup. The Washington Department of
Ecology proposes to clean up lead, arsenic, zinc, and cadmium at the Harvard Road North site. The site covers less than one acre and lies along the northern bank of the Spokane River in Spokane County, Washington. It is nearly 3 miles west of the Idaho state line and
immediately west of the Harvard Road Bridge. The proposed cleanup will begin summer 2008 and end by October 31, 2008. The area will be closed to the public during construction. Comments on the construction, SEPA, and associated documents will be received April 30 through May 30, 2008.
