Description Ecology conducted a water quality study in Henderson Inlet watershed during 2002-2005. The water quality study found that issues with dissolved oxygen and pH in freshwater were largely related to natural causes. However, some dissolved oxygen issues appear to be related to too many nutrients from human causes (nitrogen and phosphorus) entering the water bodies. Fecal coliform bacteria concentrations were found to be too high throughout the watershed. This implementation plan is a follow-up to the study report. It makes recommendations for reducing nutrients in the watershed. The TMDL study report set goals (also called "load allocations") for reducing bacteria at important locations.
