Description | This 2009 publication provided information on efforts to clean up Commencement Bay. The 2007 Legislature provided nearly $2.5 million for the Initiative through 2009, boosting the cleanup and protection of three areas of Washington: Commencement Bay, the Lower Duwamish Waterway, and the Spokane River. The Initiative increased resources for source control efforts, preventing re-contamination, and sampling. The Commencement Bay project received $775,000. | ||||
