Description | The Washington State Department of Ecology conducted Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) studies for the Dungeness River watershed in 2002 and the Dungeness Bay in 2004. These studies found violations of Washington State water quality standards for fecal coliform bacteria. Since the TMDL studies, several pollution reduction actions have been implemented. This evaluation shows that fecal coliform concentrations have improved in some areas. However, water quality criteria have not been met at some sampling stations. The Cadmus Group conducted this study and wrote this report under contract with the Department of Ecology. |
