Description | For the amendments to Chapter 173-50 WAC, Accreditation of Environmental Laboratories, the Department of Ecology (Ecology) must estimate impacts on individuals, businesses, and the public, including costs and changes in environmental quality. Impacts are determined by comparing the current regulatory environment to that under the amended rule. This document provides an overview of the methods Ecology used to perform its economic analysis, and the most likely impacts found. The associated Small Business Economic Impact Statement (SBEIS) discusses the impacts of the amendments on small businesses, and how Ecology attempted to reduce or eliminate any disproportionate impacts in the amended rule. | ||||
