| Description | The Washington State Department of Ecology entered into an Agreed Order with the Washington State Department of Corrections that required DOC to conduct a Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study at the penitentiary site. The purpose of the investigation was to determine the type of contaminants and where they were located. The Feasibility Study evaluates cleanup options and is now available for public comment. Comments will be accepted December 3, 2012, through January 8, 2013. Meetings will be held in December 2012. The site is located at 1313 North 13th Street, in the city of Walla Walla, Washington. | ||||
