Description This focus sheet describes the 2013 phase of the Status and Trends Monitoring for the Watershed Health and Salmon Recovery Program. This is a statewide habitat and biological monitoring effort that began in 2009. From July to October 2013, the Department of Ecology plans to sample 50 sites in the Puget Sound region. This effort monitors streams and rivers to provide a consistent, objective picture of habitat and biological conditions and to detect regional trends.
