Description This report summarizes the primary results of a 2010 survey of sediment quality in Bellingham Bay. The survey was conducted as part of the Puget Sound Ecosystem Monitoring Program (previously called the Puget Sound Assessment and Monitoring Program). Sediment chemistry, toxicity, and sediment-dwelling invertebrate community structure were measured at 30 stations. The Sediment Quality Triad Index was calculated for each station and used to estimate the spatial extent of sediment quality categories throughout the region. The survey results establish a baseline of sediment conditions for this urban bay. Data and supporting information are available on Ecology's website under “Web Page” below.

The original version of this report was posted to the web on 7-29-13, removed on 8-9-13, reposted on 8-19-13, and finally removed on 11-26-13. There were no errors in the original version. A revised version was posted on December 19, 2013.
