| Description |
Department of Ecology staff and regional taxonomists are developing taxonomic guides, including voucher sheets and workshop notes, for Puget Sound sediment-dwelling invertebrates. These guides will facilitate standardized taxonomy for future Puget Sound and Salish Sea benthic invertebrate (benthos) monitoring.
The purpose of, and background for, these guides is described in the report. Thirty voucher sheets and twenty sets of workshop notes have been developed to date, providing descriptions for 152 taxa. Links to the 50 guides are provided below under “Related Documents.” Additional guides will be provided as they are developed.
