Description In September 2014, Ecology released a preliminary draft of revisions to Chapter 173-201A WAC Water Quality Standards for Surface Waters of the State of Washington. These changes will be to adopt toxic criteria to protect human health and language on implementation tools.

The purpose of this preliminary draft rule implementation plan is to inform those who must comply with Chapter 173-201A WAC about how Ecology intends to implement, enforce, inform, educate, promote compliance, evaluate, and train about the new or amended rule.

Along with this information this document also includes supporting documents, other resources, and contact information concerning the proposed rule implementation.
