Description To support the Washington State Children’s Safe Products Act (CSPA), the Department of Ecology purchased 137 children’s products and submitted samples to the laboratory for the analysis of four Chemicals of High Concern to Children: formaldehyde, D4, MEK, and styrene. Data gathered from this study were used to improve Ecology’s understanding of chemicals used in children’s products and assess compliance with CSPA. This report describes the presence and levels of these four chemicals found in a select set of children's products. This report does not assess potential exposures or impacts to human health related to the tested products.
