Author(s) Ecology
Description Ecology prepared a SEPA Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to evaluate a suite of actions to reduce flood damage and restore aquatic habitat in the Chehalis Basin. A programmatic (planning level) evaluation assesses the potential range of impacts so the trade-offs associated with implementing an integrated strategy can be evaluated. The process helps decision makers and the public understand how implementing the strategy could affect people and the environment. The Final EIS responds to comments received on the draft EIS and identifies future analyses proposed to address issues that are more specific than can be addressed in a programmatic review.
