Description The Department of Ecology’s Toxics Cleanup Program (TCP) manages the cleanup of contaminated sites to protect human health and the environment. In November 2017, TCP published guidance for increasing the resilience of cleanup sites to the impacts of climate change (“Adaptation Strategies for Resilient Cleanup Remedies,” Publication No. 17-09-052, https://fortress.wa.gov/ecy/publications/SummaryPages/1709052.html).

This two-page fact sheet provides a brief overview of that guidance. It outlines why the guidance was needed, what it contains, and how it can be used. This fact sheet also provides links to other climate change resources in Washington.
