| Description | Seattle Iron & Metals Corporation plans to install a stormwater treatment system at 730 S Myrtle Street, also known as the Whitehead Tyee cleanup site. They will conduct an Interim Action, as part of the formal site cleanup process, to remove contaminated soil in that area. They will also grade and pave the gravel lot. The pavement may later be removed to allow complete cleanup of the site. These actions will reduce contamination in the stormwater that runs off this site into the Lower Duwamish Waterway. Ecology invites the public to comment on the Interim Action Workplan and State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) Checklist. |
