| Description | A characterization of the 999 acre Springbrook Watershed, located on Bainbridge Island, was conducted in 2018 upon the request of the Bainbridge Island Trust, Wild Fish Conservancy and the City of Bainbridge Island. The purpose of the characterization was to assist resource planners in identifying and prioritizing the best areas within the watershed for protection and restoration of water flow processes and for the location of new development. Management recommendations included maintaining native cover of headwaters, protection and restoration of depressional wetland systems and their associated slope discharge wetlands, and replacement of culvert and weir systems in the lower watershed. |
