| Description | This document was developed for rulemaking AO#19-02, to amend several sections of Chapter 173-201A WAC - Water Quality Standards for Surface Waters of the State of Washington. Amendments include: changes to numeric criteria for total dissolved gas (TDG) in the Snake and Columbia rivers, amending specific sections of the rule to meet legal obligations in a 2018 Stipulated Order of Dismissal, and clarifying the descriptions of marine water aquatic life use designations. The purpose of this rule implementation plan is to inform those who must comply with Chapter 173-201A WAC about how Ecology intends to: • Implement and enforce the rule. • Inform and educate persons affected by the rule. • Promote and assist voluntary compliance for the rule. • Evaluate the rule. • Train and inform Ecology staff about the new or amended rule. |
