Description | This addendum describes follow-up sampling to the 2018 field study, "Measuring PCBs in Biofilm, Sediment, and Invertebrates in the Spokane River." The study supports the Spokane River Regional Toxics Task Force goal of identifying unknown PCB sources in the river. The goals of the follow-up sampling are to verify 2018 biofilm results and to further delineate biofilm PCB concentrations in the Spokane River between Upriver Dam and the Spokane Gage, where the highest concentrations were observed in 2018. In August 2019, we will collect biofilm samples at 33 sites on the river for analyses of 209 PCB congeners. Lipid content, biomass, and C & N isotopes will also be analyzed in the biofilms as supplemental explanatory variables. | ||||
