Description From patches of jellyfish and snow geese, to sediment and early blooms, our February flight saw more than you might expect to see in winter.

This winter, weather has been warmer and wetter than usual. Rivers are flowing higher than normal.

In North Sound marine waters, temperatures have become too cool for Northern Pacific anchovies to tolerate. However, Puget Sound has many species worth showcasing. In this issue of Eyes over Puget Sound, learn about the heart crab — a shy critter that wears its heart on its shell.
