Description Auto body shops regularly generate dangerous wastes that are harmful to human health and the environment. Common examples include spent solvents, thinners, still bottoms, waste paint, and waste antifreeze.

While this guide summarizes some requirements for auto body shops, it doesn’t replace them. Always refer to the Dangerous Waste Regulations for more details or contact your regional Ecology office.
