| Description | A revised Quality Assurance Monitoring Plan (QAMP) has been developed for the Puget Sound Sediment Monitoring Program, updating the previous QAMP published in 2018. The Department of Ecology’s Marine Sediment Monitoring Team has conducted sediment quality monitoring in Puget Sound since 1989, as part of the Puget Sound Ecosystem Monitoring Program. The primary goals for this program are to: • Document spatial extent estimates of an area (km²) with given sediment conditions. • Document changes in sediment and benthic infaunal conditions over time. • Provide high-quality data, summary reports, and indices to stakeholders. This QAMP describes the goals, objectives, and study design, and provides references for all field and laboratory methods for sediment monitoring in Puget Sound. |
