Description | The 2022 Washington State Legislature charged the Department of Ecology to develop model ordinances for optional use by cities and counties. The ordinances must provide model mechanisms for commercial solid waste collection and disposal that are “designed, in part, to establish a financial disincentive or other disincentives for the generation of organic waste and for the ultimate disposal of organic materials in landfills” RCW 70A.207.030). | ||||
