Author(s) Toxics Cleanup Program
Description Site operations began in 1968 as a vehicle repair facility. Prior to 1968, the now-industrial property and surrounding area was residential. Soil sampling done in 1993 found several areas with petroleum contamination requiring cleanup. Contractors excavated significant amounts of petroleum-contaminated soil from the site. Some contaminated soil remains in the areas of a former infiltration system and a former underground storage tank system. Since remaining contamination is limited and groundwater isn't affected, no additional cleanup was done. An asphalt cap prevents people from contacting the remaining soil contamination. During the Site visit Ecology conducted October 23, 2025, the cleanup appears to be functioning as intended.
