Description | The Advance Credit Guide explains how public agencies can apply for upfront Clean Fuel Standard (CFS) credits to help pay for clean transportation projects. Instead of waiting years to earn credits, eligible projects—like EV fleets, chargers, or ferry electrification—can receive credits in advance to cover startup costs. Agencies repay the credits over time as their equipment generates emissions reductions. Ecology opens applications every July and provides tools, templates, and technical support to help agencies estimate credits and complete the process. | ||||
