| Description | Clean Fuel Standard (CFS) Advance Credit Program offers federally recognized Tribes early funding to support clean transportation projects. Transportation is the largest source of climate pollution in Washington, and the CFS works to cut emissions 45% below 2017 levels by 2038. Through advance credits, Tribes can lower upfront costs for projects like electric vehicles, charging stations, and clean fleet upgrades. Projects earn credits as emissions are reduced, which are used to repay the advance while continuing to generate long-term income. The program supports Tribal climate leadership, improves air quality, and creates economic benefits for Tribal communities. | ||||
