| Description | In 2019, the Washington State Legislature directed Washington Department of Ecology, in consultation with Washington Department of Health, to implement a regulatory program to reduce toxic chemicals in consumer products (Chapter 70A.350 RCW). The program, called Safer Products for Washington, is implemented through a four-phase cycle that repeats every five years. This draft market analysis supports our Cycle 2, Phase 3 draft regulatory determinations for priority chemicals and products. Separate reports include the legislative report and the technical supporting documentation for recommending regulatory actions. |
